Valentine’s day is just around the corner. You might be thinking where to buy gifts for your loved ones, huh? Not to mention, these are all small businesses established during the global pandemic and owned by strong young women entrepreneurs. From goodies, adornments to greeneries, we got it all for you!

Hunny Baker

First one on the list is Hunny Baker. Hunny baker is a baking shop owned by Johanna Gayle de Asis, a 20-year old college student from the province of Rizal . She started her business last August 2020 as she always have that heart for baking. At first, Johanna only thought of baking cupcakes and other goodies as a gift to her loved one’s, but then, while doing what's dearest to her heart, she decided to make it available to other people, too. (Well deserved, though.) Through baking for other people, she can also share her love with every sweet she makes.

Johanna herself wanted to educate her customers while baking and for that, she often includes science and facts in her shop’s posts.

For her, a heart for baking is a heart for giving-- last Christmas, 10% of her proceeds were donated an organization that shelters children that are victims of abused. She believes that baking cannot be separated with patience and when there is patience, there is love. Always.

Hunny Baker’s best sellers are their chocolate chip cookies and minimalist cakes. This Valentine’s Day, Hunny Baker is currently having a Sweet Giveaway Promo where participants may have the chance to win a box of Floral Cupcakes. Now, Let's go to the Bare & Bliss. Bare & Bliss offers accessory sets and hand poured candles. This amazing shop is owned by Reyjean Gabrielle Tiantes from Manila which was established last August 2020. Basically, she was inspired by Tiktok videos, so she tried making them until eventually it became her hobby and who would've thought? This small business became part of her self-discovery phase. As her small business grow, she grows with it. Her advice for aspiring businesswomen like her? Do what you love!

Bare and Bliss just recently released two volumes of their Valentine’s Day Collection entitled Himig ng Pag-ibig. Kilig! Owned by Nikki Velasco, a fashionista herself, she makes sure that all her products screams fashion and sweetness-- just like her. Aksesorya de Moda offers resin necklaces and hair clips. Nikki started her business when she was bored, that time resin crafts are trending, so she gave it a try. Little did she know, this business will save her from being drowned to her own thoughts. This business made her sane. She knew by then that she needed to share the serenity she's feeling, and so, Aksesorya de Moda was established.

She hopes and prays that each piece that she makes can help someone, too. That whoever wears them may find comfort in knowing that they are not alone.

Are you guilty too of becoming a plantito or plantita because of the global pandemic? Well, most of us are! Ronah Nuque’s Petrichor Ph is an online plant and clay pot shop that is perfect for the plantito, and plantita out there. Ronah started establishing her business after receiving her 13th-month pay. Where else to invest than to a business that is close to the hearts of many, right? Since the pandemic began, people evidently tried to find ways to cope up with this pandemic, Ronah, as a plant lover, decided to share her happiness; the fondness to plants and pots.

As of the moment, Petrichor Ph is still trying to establish its online presence, especially their hand-polished and hand-painted pots. Last year, Petrichor already released their pastel pot collection in colors cream green, blue sky, angel white, cream pink, winter purple, and yellow dew. The first set of their earth tone pot collection is available in colors mud tone, sea green, and milky brown was also released in different pot sizes and shapes.

When asked, what is the perfect gift this season, she smilingly answered Pink Syngonium. Aside from its decorative leaves, it is also an anti pollutant and anyone can easily grow it indoors. For Ronah, any plant can be a great gift.
